Interim Posting

Evenin' all.

You know when you put your iPod on shuffle and you come across a great song that you've never heard before ? Well the other day I was startled out of my seat by a b-side by Genesis (quiet at the back) from 1978 called The Day the Light Went Out, and it is f*****g outstanding. Why it never made the album (... and then there were three... if you're interested pop pickers) is beyond me.

I tried to find a YouTube rendering, but instead, came across an excellent home made vid of the A-Side, Many Too Many. I thought it was so good, I'd put it up on the blog.

Just to quickly also say that I've been brewing up a big Bob blog blob covering The View From Gable End as it pertains to a number of matters of national importance. Coming soon, m'hearties. Also, I've been f*****g about with my templates, but as I don't know my HTML from a sandwich, it's a bit messy hereabouts. Maybe time for a spring clean.

Anyway, that's all to come, but right now, for your aural and visual pleasure, from 1978 here's Genesis with Many to Many (if you say it in a "whispering" Bob Harris voice it's much better...)

It really is the 70's Again !

Strikes, recession, Labour Government on its last legs, Country bankrupt, ELP announce tour...

It really is the '70's all over again. I wonder whether Noddy Holder will turn up on Xmas Top of the Pops. Or Roy Wood and Wizzard ? That'd be good.

Anyway... ELP

From L-R Emerson, Lake, Palmer (do you see what they did there ?)
ELP reformation...

Whaddya think ?

Laugh ?

or

Cry ?

Me I dunno. I just hope they don't make compete arses of themselves...

Oh wait, they did that with Love Beach...

Ladbrokes have a book running; 10-1 on they split up again before reforming.

Greg Lake's rider expressly states NO pies...

... anyway, my Mother in Law, etc etc
